Well, in the time-honored Guitar-Muse tradition of being here right when you need us, with exactly what you need here is our 2021 list of the best gifts for your beloved guitarist.

Guitar gifts between $0-10
Guitar Picks
Every Guitarist needs guitar picks! Well – almost any guitarist. If they are a finger style / classical guitarist, they may not. But if they play rock, or electric, there is a good chance that they do.
They are like paint brushes for artists. You can’t have too many guitar picks.
Here are some guitar picks for less than $10.
Guitar String Winder
This little baby comes in handy every time you have to change strings, which can be pretty frequent. Also, don’t worry if they already have one, it’s the kind of thing you really can’t have too much of.

Guitar Strings
If you’re going to buy strings for your guitarist, you need to know a little more about their style and what they play. Do they play acoustic, electric, or nylon string guitar? You gotta know that before you purchase. Again, strings, while they can be extremely subject to opinion and preference, if you at least get them the right type, they’ll come in handy sooner or later.

Guitar Tuner
Guitar tuners are another item that you really can’t have too many of. And you can get really good quality for less than $20.
Clip on tuners – at least these days, are the preferred option, and the cheaper option. However, you can read about our guitar pedal tuners here, but be advised, they are a bit more expensive.

Guitar Cables
Guitar cables are another super easy, and super useful option for just about any guitarist. They die on you all the time and having at least one extra on hand is pretty much standard practice for guitarists these days.
You can expect them to run you $10 and up.
Quality is kind of a thing here, and we almost put this in the next category, but you can get a decent cable for $20, but just beware the $10 one is going to be kind of cheap.
Guitar Gifts between $20-50
Moving on up through our budget, we’ve arrived at the $20 to $50 range.
Guitar Pedals!
Guitar pedals are awesome, and they range from $20 on up. You can go crazy or spend very little. Here again, you need to know a little bit about the type of music they play, but pedals are pretty universal for most guitarists and styles of music.
You can even get really cool multi-effects pedals in this price range.
Lessons
If it’s a younger / just getting started guitarist, maybe lessons would be a good idea. You could find someone local, or look into options like Fender Play or Yousician.
Typically with these types of services, you can find deals for up to 50% off (or more, at times) and choose to purchase a whole year or go monthly with it.
Guitar Straps
You can have a lot of fun with guitar straps. They are customizable, they are pretty much art in themselves. Think t-shirt. A guitar strap is like a t-shirt. It performs a very important function, but you can also use it to express yourself, or make a statement. Definitely google around for some guitar straps!
Guitar Stands
Honestly, you can get these for way less than $50. Really the cheapest ones start around $20, but since it holds up and protects the main star of the guitar-ing hobby, we recommend you get a bit higher quality one.
Aim for $30-50.
Guitar Gifts between $50-100
Practice Amps
You can get a decent practice amp in the $50-100 range. Again, for the younger, less seasoned guitarists, since the more seasoned ones probably have opinions in this area and already have a practice amp.
For example, check out the Blackstar Debut 10E. It’s a great little unit for the beginner guitarist (not to mention ANY guitarist who needs a quiet amp to practice with). You may want to pair this with an inexpensive distortion pedal to round out the perfect gift for that practicing guitarist.
Guitar Gifts $100 and up
Once you’re in this price range – how about an actual guitar? Again, be careful here, do your research, and get one that matches the playing style of your guitarist.
For example, say your guitarist plays mainly acoustic, and they’ve already got an acoustic guitar, but for around $150 you could get them a nice “Parlor Guitar” which is a smaller guitar for just picking up and playing around with – or better yet – traveling, camping, etc.
A parlor guitar is something they can just pick up and go with, and it doesn’t take much space, and they don’t have to bring their (probably more) expensive guitar and risk damaging it, or getting sand in it.
It’s not their “main” guitar so you don’t have to worry about perfecting it. Its one they can grab and go and not worry too much about it getting damaged.
